At KD Marine we have a highly experienced team of staff across our office and workshop who are supported by a team of contractors across a range of disciplines.

• Hamish Petersen – Managing Director

As Owner and Managing Director of KD Marine, Hamish oversees the day to day running of the business and is ultimately responsible for delivery on behalf of KD Marine’s client base. Having gained a wealth of industry experience throughout his career, Hamish has been active in the subsea oil and gas industry across the globe and is regarded as one of the most highly competent figureheads in the UK diving sector.

Hamish trained as a commercial air diver at Pro Dive in Cornwall in 1975 and after years diving with CG Dorris and KD Marine (pre-acquisition) he moved into the office where he worked as Equipment, Project and latterly Regional Manager at BUE Services. In 1989 Hamish re-established KD Marine as a Diving Contractor and has built the company into the successful and respected business it is today.

Hamish is the current Chairman of the employers signatories ODIA (Offshore Diving Industry Agreement), he is also on the committee of IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) and the SUT (Society of Underwater Technology).
